Hi! I just listened to the cryptids episode and I wanted to share a couple of cryptids that are local to North Carolina. We have the Beast of Bladenboro, which is a vampire/chupacabra thing that supposedly killed a bunch of cattle back in the 50’s. They have an annual festival which is the pinnacle of white trash. We also have the Wampus Cat—no Lore here; just one hell of a name! P.S. the phenomenon of leaving these comments then you reading them a month later makes me think of The Lake House starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves!

Since you talked about and it's reference in games, fun fact that Dunsparce from Pokemon is based on tsuchinoko, that's why in older game it's spawn rate is very low because it is a cryptid.
